Packers re-sign RB James Starks

Starks appeared in all 16 games and posted a career-best 601 rushing yards

The Green Bay Packers have re-signed RB James Starks. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the signing Tuesday.

Starks appeared in all 16 games with a career-high four starts in 2015 and posted a career-best 601 rushing yards on 148 attempts (4.1 avg.) with two touchdowns. He also set career highs in receptions (43), receiving yards (392) and receiving TDs (three). Starks led the team in yards from scrimmage with a career-high 993 on the season, surpassing his previous best of 794 yards in 2011, and was one of only five RBs in the league with 600-plus rushing yards and 390-plus receiving yards in '15.

Starks, who was selected by Green Bay in the sixth round (193rd overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft out of the University at Buffalo, has played in 67 games with nine starts during his six seasons with the Packers. He has recorded 2,361 rushing yards and nine TDs on 555 attempts (4.3 avg.) and 106 receptions for 883 yards (8.3 avg.) and four TDs.
