Linebacker Nick Barnett Featured At Free Event; Wayne Larrivee To Emcee
The Green Bay Packers" 2009 highlights film, "12 Days to Contenders," will be premiered in the Legends Club of the Lambeau Field Atrium Wednesday, June 2, at 7 p.m. The event is free to the public.
Packers linebacker Nick Barnett will be on hand to discuss the team's performance last year, preview the upcoming season and answer questions. Barnett also will be available for autographs following the program.
Wayne Larrivee, the radio play-by-play voice of the Packers, will emcee the event.
Access to the Atrium area will be through the Miller Lite Gate, with film attendees then taking the escalator to the Legends Club on the fourth level of the Atrium.
The film tells the story of the Packers" 2009 season through the spectacular cinematography of NFL Films. The film highlights many of the team"s exciting moments and performances, including the crucial three wins in 12 days over Dallas, San Francisco and Detroit that took the team from 4-4 to 7-4, and on to seven wins in the final eight games. Highlights from the Wildcard playoff game against Arizona, the highest-scoring postseason contest in NFL history, also are included.
A regular NFL Films feature, the "miked-up" segments, are found throughout the film, including moments with Aaron Rodgers, Ryan Grant and Head Coach Mike McCarthy.
In addition, dramatic voice-over descriptions of impact plays by Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren of the Packers Radio Network are featured throughout the film. Produced, written and edited by NFL Films, in conjunction with the Packers' public relations department, it is narrated by Robb Webb.
The film also is scheduled to be available for purchase through the Packers Pro Shop (in person and online), beginning late July. Preorders are now available online through www.packersproshop.com.
