Aaron Rodgers named Air NFL Player of the Week

The NFL announced today that quarterback AARON RODGERSof the Green Bay Packers and running back ADRIAN PETERSONof the Minnesota Vikings are the Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on October 9-10. 

Aaron Rodgers threw for 396 yards and two scores in the Packers' 25-14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. This is his second consecutive victory in the Air category.

Adrian Peterson rushed for three scores and 122 yards in the Vikings' 34-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

Rodgers and Peterson were selected from among six finalists in Air and Ground categories. The other Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week finalists were quarterbacks MATT CASSEL of the Kansas City Chiefs and BEN ROETHLISBERGER of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and running backs BEN JARVUS GREEN-ELLISof the New England Patriots and FRANK GORE of the San Francisco 49ers.
