GREEN BAY -- For the second time this season and for a franchise-record 15th time in his career, Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
In Week 16 vs. Minnesota, Rodgers completed 28-of-38 passes for 347 yards with four touchdown passes for a 136.6 passer rating. He also rushed for a touchdown, accounting for five TDs in all, in the Packers' 38-25 victory.
The 136.6 passer rating is Rodgers' second highest of the season and marks the fifth time in the last six games he has topped 100.
Rodgers also won NFC Offensive Player of the Week two games prior vs. Seattle, and his 15 career honors date back to 2010. He won it twice that season, then three times in 2011, twice in 2012, once in 2013, four times in 2014, and once in 2015.
Two NFC Offensive Player of the Week awards in December would also make Rodgers a candidate for NFC Offensive Player of the Month, an award he has won seven times in his career but not since November of 2014.
