Ahman Green Teams With Easter Seals For Celebrity Golf Shootout

Easter Seals Southern Nevada (ESSN) is pleased to announce that Ahman Green, famed running back for the Green Bay Packers (#30), will kickoff the first of an ongoing series of celebrity fundraising events to benefit the proposed new Child Development Center to be located at 6200 West Oakey Boulevard.

The Ahman Green Golf Shootout For Easter Seals will take place on May 20, 2005, at TPC at THE CANYONS, 9851 Canyon Run Drive, starting with an 8 AM breakfast. "Celebrity Foursomes" can be purchased for Three Thousand Dollars. Golfers and celebrities will also attend the "1st Team Dinner" at 6 PM in the Mandalay Bay Ballroom followed by an "After Party" at LIGHT(tm), the nightclub at the Bellagio. Tickets for the "1st Team Dinner" and "After Party" can be purchased separately for one hundred and fifty dollars per person.

Ahman Green, Jim Brown, Jake Plummer, Carson Palmer, Joey Harrington, Tony Fisher, Jeremiah Trotter, Reggie Wayne, Donald Driver, Leroy Bulter, Amani Toomer, Spencer Haywood and the "Packer O-Line" are just some of the outstanding professional athletes scheduled to attend the May 20th fundraising event that will directly benefit the proposed new ESSN Child Development Center.

The new Child Development Center will allow ESSN to expand services in high-demand areas where Southern Nevada needs are not currently being met. The priority areas for expansion include:

-Improved facilities for Adult Day Services for adults with severe developmental disabilities;

-Expansion of child care for children with special needs;

-Establishment of a Therapy Clinic for children and adults with disabilities;

-Establishment of an Advanced Assistive Technology Center for children and adults with disabilities;

-Development of a Low Vision Clinic for children and adults with visual disabilities;

-Housing and training staff to provide early intervention services to children ages birth to three

in Clark and surrounding counties;

-Establishment of an Employment Resource Center for people with disabilities for job training and to research and obtain employment.
