GREEN BAY, WIS. (June 17, 2014) – The Green Bay Packers and Delaware North Companies Sportservice, the team's food and beverage partner at Lambeau Field, are inviting fans to enter their favorite tailgating recipe for a chance to compete in the Gridiron Chef Throwdown cook-off.
"Packers fans are among the best tailgaters in the world, we are simply offering them a chance to share their game day menu with the world," said Sportservice General Manager at Lambeau Field Charlie Millerwise. "Sportservice understands delicious food and the Gridiron Chef Throwdown is our way of recognizing fellow culinarians and acknowledging their talents."
"Lambeau Field is consistently ranked as one of the top tailgating stadiums in the NFL," said Gabrielle Valdez Dow, Packers vice president of marketing and fan engagement. "Packers fans are so passionate about tailgating that on Sundays, the streets are quiet and the tailgating is plenteous. This event is another way Packers fans can share their passion for gameday cooking."
To enter, fans must submit a detailed menu and list of ingredients showcasing their best tailgate or game day party recipes by July 6, 2014. The top four recipe submissions will be selected by Sportservice and the Packers. Finalists must be available to compete in a cook-off event at Lambeau Field during training camp. The winning recipe will be available at a concession stand at Lambeau Field during the 2014-2015 Packers season.
Additional prizes include a complimentary entry in the Ultimate Packers Fan Chevy 'Packers Edition' Silverado Sweepstakes, Packers memorabilia, Chevy merchandise, and four tickets in a suite to watch the Packers take on the Jets in the regular season home opener.
