The Packers Draft Party Medallion Hunt, a new feature of the team's annual draft party, gets underway Monday morning, April 13, with the release of the first of 10 daily clues.

"We've had a lot of interest in the hunt and many people already have signed up to receive the daily clues," said Kate Hogan, Packers director of retail operations and coordinator of the Draft Party. "It's the first contest of this kind that we've offered and we're excited for it to begin.

"The clues will offer hunters a little bit of everything. Some local geography and history themes are incorporated, with a little word sleuth flair mixed in."

Medallion hunters can obtain the clues each morning three ways: by signing up to receive them via e-mail, reading them online or by listening to the recorded message on the "Draft Party Medallion Hunt Clue Line" at 920/569-7570. Both the sign-up and clue posting information are available here.

Those who sign up on Packers.com to receive the clues via e-mail get the first opportunity to view them each morning, at approximately 6 a.m. The clues then will be available at 7 a.m. online and via recorded message on the clue line. The subsequent clues, released each morning, will provide more specific information about the location of the hidden Packers Draft Party Medallion.

A single medallion, gold-colored and three inches in diameter, will be hidden somewhere in a public location in Brown County. All posted hours and/or rules of the public location must be followed.

Teams may be formed or individuals can hunt on his or her own. The first person or group to find the medallion should follow the instructions on the medallion to claim the prize, a package valued at $500. Some of the winnings include two tickets to the Draft Party, a one-night hotel stay, two tickets to a to-be-determined 2009 Packers home game with two pregame sideline passes, plus gift cards.

The Draft Day Challenge, an online draft pick contest, also is underway. It calls for participants to pick the top five players chosen in the draft, plus the Packers' No. 1 selection.

Further details on both the medallion hunt and online draft pick contest can be found online here. Participants in both contests are limited to U.S. residents.

Tickets for the Draft Party are priced at $25 and can be purchased in person at the Packers' ticket office. Beginning April 16, tickets also can be purchased online through Ticketmaster in person, over the phone at 800/745-3000 or online. Children ages 6 and younger enter free with a ticketed attendee. The event will run from 3 to 9 p.m. (doors will open at 2 p.m.).
