river Will Introduce Book at Press Conference Prior to Book Signing

Packers wide receiver Donald Driver will introduce the new children's book he authored, Quickie Makes the Team, at an 11 a.m. press conference Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Packers Pro Shop, to be immediately followed by a book signing until 1 p.m., also at the Pro Shop.

Quickie Makes the Team, Driver's first foray into writing, was conceived and written by Driver and inspired by his own bedtime storytelling to his children, Cristian and Christina. It also has inspirational comments from Driver to children.

A full-color, 25-page hard cover book, it is illustrated by Waukesha artist Joe Groshek and was printed at Worzalla Publishing in Stevens Point, Wis. Illustrations of the main character Quickie, are based on Driver's son Cristian.

Priced at $19.95, the book is available for purchase at the Packers Pro Shop and online at www.packersproshop.com. It also is available online through www.donalddriver80.com and www.donalddriverfoundation.com, and at other state stores such as Barnes & Noble, Piggly Wiggly, Shopko, Goodwill, Schwartz Bookshops and Bookworld.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Donald Driver Foundation.
