Nearly 1,800 members of the Packers Partners Club of Champions attended their annual reception prior to Friday's "Family Night" scrimmage.

"Wow! What a turnout," Packers executive vice president and chief operating officer John Jones said. "It's a great credit to you as fans."

The partners had an opportunity to receive autographs from former Packers quarterback Don Majkowski, eat Levy Restaurants catered food, purchase Packers Partners merchandise, win Packers prizes through a raffle and ask questions to Green Bay Packers.

Fans came from 40 states and five countries, including Italy and Canada.

"We have the best fans in the world. We all know that," kicker Ryan Longwell said. "Who sells out a scrimmage?"

Packers Partners Club of Champions is the official Packers fan club. With $50-$100 donations, members receive benefits, including discounts on Packers merchandise, Packers yearbook, autographs and admittance to the annual reception.

Longwell, running back Ahman Green and Grey Ruegamer participated in a Q&A session, a highlight for many fans.

"It was great to see all the people up there and to see the interaction between the fans and the players," said Shawna from Appleton, Wis.

Questions ranged from their favorite players to why they chose football as a profession.

"I wasn't good enough in baseball," Longwell said.

Asked what it feels like to score a touchdown Green responded: "I don't drink, but I'm always offered Miller Lite," he said. "I'm always getting my butt patted."

Several of the fans also thanked the players for their contributions to the team.

Jones praised the event.

"I feel it's a way we can all connect to the team," he said.
