Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre was named the Monday Night Football Snickers Hungriest Player for the Monday Night finale following the Packers' 41-7 victory over the Oakland Raiders at Network Associates Coliseum in Oakland. The selection was made by John Madden and the other members of the Monday Night Football broadcast team.

Favre produced one of the greatest performances of his career completing 22 of 30 passes for 399 yards, including a personal best 311 yards in the first half. His four touchdowns on the night moved him past Fran Tarkenton on the all-time TD list trailing only Dan Marino. All fans who visited the Snickers web site and correctly selected Brett Favre prior to 11:00 PM EST last night will receive a free Snickers bar, and will automatically be eligible for a trip for two to Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, TX.

Each week, five players from each team in the Monday Night game appeared on Snickers.com, along with a "WILDCARD" for each team. Fans logged onto the site, register with a code found inside the wrapper of specially marked Snickers bars, and selected a player from the ten nominees, or chose the "WILDCARD" representative of the remaining players on the rosters.

The winner of the Super Bowl trip will be randomly selected later this week from fans who made the correct selection to win the Snickers Hungriest Player in last night's game. Throughout the season, Snickers will award 16 Super Bowl trips, a winner for each of the 16 Monday Night Football telecasts.

Previous winners have included Tampa Bay's Joe Jurevicius (Week1), Cowboys' Billy Cundiff, Quincy Carter and Terry Glenn (Week 2), Denver's Jake Plummer (Week 3), Green Bay's Ahman Green (Week 4), Indianapolis' Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison (Week 5), Rams' Marc Bulger and Torry Holt (Week 6), Kansas City's Priest Holmes (Week 7), Miami's Patrick Surtain (Week 8) New England's Tom Brady (Week 9), Philadelphia's Donovan McNabb and Green Bay's Ahman Green (Week 10), San Francisco's Tim Rattay, Terrell Owens, and Kevan Barlow (Week 11), Tampa Bay's Keenan McCardell (Week 12), Jets' Chad Pennington (Week 13), Rams' Aeneas Williams (Week 14), and Eagles' Donovan McNabb and Brian Dawkins (Week 15).

Fans can now visit Snickers.com and vote for the Snickers Hungriest Player of the Year from the 24 weekly selections and be automatically eligible for a trip for four to 2004 Pro Bowl in Hawaii.
