Fleming and Dowler to be featured alumni this week

Former players at Lambeau Field Atrium Saturday, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club Sunday

The Green Bay Packers are welcoming back featured alumni Marv Flemingand Boyd Dowlerfor the Packers-Chargers game on Sunday, Oct. 18. Leading up to the game, the alumni will be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Lambeau Field Atrium on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Flemingon gameday* *from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.

Also on Sunday, Dowlerwill be visiting with fans and signing autographs during that same time in the Legends Clubon the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'

Selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 11th round of the 1963 NFL Draft, Marv Fleming played seven seasons (1963-69) in a Packers uniform. Appearing in 95 games, the tight end was a tremendous blocker and a key component of the Packers' vaunted power sweep. Fleming recorded 109 receptions for 1,300 yards and 12 touchdowns during his Packers career. A key player for the Packers' three straight championship teams (1965-67), Fleming was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2010.*  *

Selected by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 1959 NFL Draft, wide receiver Boyd Dowler played 11 years (1959-69) for the club. He was a two-time Pro Bowler and five-time NFL Champion, known for making his mark in Super Bowl II when he hauled in a 62-yard touchdown catch that helped the Packers beat the Oakland Raiders, 33-14. Dowler spent seven of his 11 seasons with the Packers leading the team in receptions, and was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1978.
