Historic, Third Jersey To Make Debut At Sunday's Game

Play 60 And Punt, Pass & Kick To Be Recognized As Well With Introductions And Exhibitions During Pregame

Sunday's matchup between the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers will see the debut of the Packers' third jersey, a re-creation of the historic 1929 uniform worn by the franchise's first NFL championship team.

The predominantly navy blue jersey bearing an oversized gold circle on the chest with large navy blue numbers will remind fans, players, and all spectators of the unique history and tradition of the Green Bay Packers organization.

In support of the NFL's PLAY 60 program, Sunday's game is designated as the Packers' 'NFL PLAY 60' game to help raise awareness of the childhood obesity epidemic and showcase the NFL and its clubs' commitment to help reverse this trend.

Prior to the game, the Packers will host 15 students fromMarshall Middle School, Parkview Middle School, Huntley Elementary School, and Grantosa Elementary Schoolon-field for player introductions and the national anthem.

Wearing special PLAY 60 jerseys, the children were selected for winning theFuel up to PLAY 60 Challenges sponsored by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. Students had to sign up online by Oct. 13 with a student-driven project for their school to eat healthy and play 60. The entries were based on originality and use of the Fuel Up to Play 60 criteria. All 15 kids will run through the team's ambassador line out onto the field to be recognized on the TundraVision video boards.

ALSO SUNDAY, the annualPunt, Pass & Kick Packers' team championship will take place in the morning at the Don Hutson Center. Seventeen boys and 17 girls ages 8 to 15, advanced through local, regional and sectional competitions across Wisconsin to reach the championship contest.

All 34 competitors will later display their passing talents on Lambeau Field Sunday as part of the pregame festivities, with the competition winners introduced as well.

Fan also are reminded the yearly 'Toys for Tots' campaign is taking place prior to Sunday's game, giving them the opportunity to bring new, unwrapped toys which will be distributed by the U.S. Marine Corps, with assistance by the Salvation Army, to children in need in the Green Bay area this holiday season. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Additionally, fans will be treated to a flyover of four F-18s prior to kickoff, and a special halftime performance by Marty's Goldenaires, a parade and concert corps from Bessemer, Mich. Established in 1950, this ensemble has often been voted the top musical group in many of the region's parades.
