The Packers Hall of Fame has chosen the winners of its third annual Packers Art Contest, who will receive four complimentary passes to the Hall of Fame, a $100 gift certificate to the Packers Pro Shop, and a $100 gift certificate to the Jack Richeson School of Art and Gallery in Kimberly, Wis.

Winners in the four categories were Whitt Mach, Antigo, Wis., (grades K-2); Izaak Polecheck, Sturgeon Bay, (grades 3-5); Abigail Holmberg, Poulsbo, Wash., (grades 6-8); and Sam Kalies, Abrams, Wis., (grades 9-12).

The Jack Richeson School of Art and Gallery's donation of $100 gift certificates is for the winners to purchase new art supplies in order to further progress their craft.

The Hall received 240 entries, in a variety of mediums, representing this year's theme, 'Pick Your Packer.' Entries came from throughout Wisconsin, and from seven states around the country. The pieces were judged by art students and Father Jim Neilson from St. Norbert College based on creativity, originality and overall impression.

"We've had some of the most impressive and creative entries this year," said Kris Broderick, Packers Hall of Fame educational coordinator. "We are thrilled to be able to provide students the opportunity to express their passion for the team through art."

Beginning March 1, a variety of the art pieces from the contest will be on display in celebration of National Youth Art Month. Artists who are interested in retrieving their pieces may arrange a pickup appointment between April 16 and May 6, 2012 by calling 920/569-7133.
