OK, a serious question from me. Name the three biggest things, in order, that you believe make the Packers such a huge national draw? I know what I think, but curious to see your thoughts. Thanks.
The Packers' resume is unrivaled as an NFL club: Community-owned franchise with the richest history and a perennially good football team.

I cannot wait for Javon Bullard and Evan Williams to enter Year 3. I recall last year when Tom Brady was on the broadcast, he specifically called out Bullard multiple times as an up-and-coming player to watch. I understood that as a Packers fan but was extremely elated that the GOAT was calling him out from his perspective. I just read an article about Williams being the "secret" on the Packers. I think we all know the potential, but can this be the year the league really acknowledges these young stars?
The Packers hit big on both when they spent two of their first four picks on safeties in 2024. Williams and Bullard have different strengths, but they're both on the same upward trend. With good health, I could see both being defensive cornerstones in Green Bay for years to come.

I can't wait to see Josh Allen and Buffalo come to town. Wife is from NY and therefore a HUGE fan. We have friends who are legitimately planning to come to WI so we can attend this game (tradeoff is we're traveling to Buffalo in 2030). Which QB/team are you most excited to see this year?
It's gotta be Malik Willis and the Fins, but Allen and the Bills are also near the top. I know I've told this story before, but Spoff and I were shooting our live Q&A on the field prior to the Packers-Bills game in 2018. Allen, just a month into his NFL career, overthrew a warmup pass in the end zone that hit the back of my calf. The stray startled me. Not only because I was not expecting it but also because of the force of a 13 PSI ball thrown by a prodigy quarterback. It's awesome to see the MVP quarterback Allen has become.
Take a look at the Green Bay Packers matchups during the 2026 NFL season.

Hey II, et al. I've been wondering about the Rodgers/Jordy Nelson back-shoulder pass. Is there a breakdown of what made that play so difficult and amazing? I've heard talking heads say Jordan Love isn't there yet. So, I'm wondering what I am missing? Thanks all.
Love has had a fair amount of success with the back-shoulder, too, particularly while throwing to Romeo Doubs. I think the difference is the back-shoulder isn't as engrained in the offensive DNA today as it was when Nelson was at the peak of his powers. Love has the arm strength and anticipation to make every throw. There's no doubt about that.

The schedule release was really creative and well done. The schedule appears to be more favorable than in recent years but let's not forget GB needs to learn how to close games more consistently or the schedule won't matter. THE TIME IS NOW! GPG
The way I put it on "Unscripted" was this schedule is like having 60-degree weather with no humidity on the morning of a marathon. It's a good schedule. The conditions may be perfect, but you still have to run the race while avoiding the potholes in the road.

Question about the odd bye week placement. Normally players would come back after a weekend off to start prep for the next game, but for a Wednesday game, doesn't that push prep back to, like, Saturday? Maybe they get the weekend off after too? Gonna be hard to head back to the alma mater for a college game or take a quick trip someplace warm during the bye week with this schedule.
Without knowing anything, my assumption is the Packers would break from Tuesday to Friday (to give players the mandatory four consecutive days off) and then return on Saturday to begin preparation for Los Angeles.

Please, please, please keep the Arcade Game Tab available! It's like back in the day when the gang hit the local arcade after school before heading home. I had to find where the Game Boy was hiding! Thanks for all you do!
If you haven't had a chance to check out “Sausage Slam” yet, please change that. I haven't had this much fun playing a video game since Nintendo released Pokémon Red.

Just finished a trip to Europe and it kind of kicked my butt. I'm 76 so that might have a lot to do with the time changes. How much do you feel it takes out of a team to lose the hours going over? With younger players it might not be as bad, but I still think it does a disservice to the game. Maybe it equals out because both teams are at the same loss.
You don't know it until you feel it, you know what I mean? I can't imagine the discomfort Jordan Love must have felt taking a 12-hour flight home after spraining his knee in Sao Paolo. Even the normal nicks and bruises of an NFL game probably make for an uncomfortable flight home.

Hi guys, I know you said the Packers got a mini-bye with the following game after the bye week is on Wednesday, but wouldn't it have been better to play on the following Sunday?
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, well, you just might find you get what you need.

Since the NFC South is wide open, the Giants' improved roster and a healthy Jayden Daniels in Washington, is it a stretch to say the Cardinals are the only team in the NFC that don't have legitimate playoff aspirations?
Never say never, but the Cardinals face an uphill battle in an ultra-competitive NFC West. Arizona may not have a definitive QB1, but it has two strong options in the backfield with James Conner and Jeremiyah Love.
Chuck from Whitewater, WI
Do you think there will be an old-fashioned shootout between Jordan Love and Aaron Rogers in preseason Game 1?
Or a Tyrod Taylor-Mason Rudolph showdown.

Now that it is official, have any other Super Bowl-winning coach and QB combo ever left the team they won the Super Bowl with together and joined the team they beat in the Super Bowl?
Nope…and haven't lost to them, either.

What is football?
I ask myself that very question during schedule release every year.
Jim from Hudsonville, MI
I might be aging myself here, but I've actually had a Packy Packer on display in my Packer room for decades. I completely forgot his historical significance but was reminded of it through the release video. Good memories of perhaps less than memorable seasons! I vote for his return, as well! But I think his true identity should remain concealed.
One of the best parts of our schedule-release videos the past three years is how our social department has humorously (but tastefully) referenced many forgotten moments of the Packers' 105-year history. Packy Packer holds a special place in the hearts of 1980s Packers fans and maybe, like Frosty, he'll be back again someday.
Barbara from Snellville, GA
As part of the boomer generation, I think it just took me longer to appreciate the schedule release video. Now I have watched it 3-4 times and love it. What's up next on the schedule?
It's like a good painting – the longer you look at it, the more you see.

Just a quick question on roster rules. If Micah Parsons or Tucker Kraft are designated PUP, the first game we could see them play is Week 5, correct? So, is it possible Matt LaFleur keeps them on the roster but doesn't start them if he thinks they will be good to go in say Week 3 or 4? Or is that playing a little too fast and loose with the rules?
That is correct, though PUP players are now allowed to return to practice after the first two games. So, that might affect how the Packers approach either player.

Hello II friends, as an out-of-state fan what is the big deal about streaming games such as on Netflix? The cost of a one month (e.g.: one Packers game) Netflix subscription is far less than going to a sports bar for the game and I can watch from the comfort of home. I'm grateful the games are on Netflix and other streaming services. Signed, Different Perspective in Maryland.
And a fine perspective to hear.

I'm sure there is a glut of submissions about Bill from Brooklyn Park and the gold package. It was Commanders and Eagles last year. Also, they were Thursday night and Monday night. I am very happy with noon and 3 p.m. for the gold package this year. Will make traveling to the games so much easier. Thank the scheduling gods for me.
I should've caught that. All these years are starting to run together.
Jason from Ridgeland, SC
Good afternoon, II, I very happily saw my first "Hunger Games" reference in your response to Chuck. Sounded like you were rooting for the deer! This opens up the door for me to wrangle my daughter into reading some II, as we are both big fans of the "Hunger Games." Either Mike or Wes, what is your favorite fictional book or series? Clay's hair even looks glorious in Clay-mation! Kudos to the team!
I love the "Hunger Games" books and "A Song of Ice and Fire" (regrettably).
Paul from West Allis, WI
Good morning, all. I thoroughly enjoyed the schedule release video – it brought back memories of watching Davy and Goliath. One mother-loving ticket short – here's to the Packers not coming up one mother-loving game short! I like to think Kevin Greene is smiling from somewhere. Which brings me to my question. How long before we can get a cheese sword from the Packers Perks site? IT IS TIME!
My son wants that cheese sword in the Packers Pro Shop yesterday.
Mike from New Orleans, LA
Wes, I can't wait to see you down here! Let's grab a beignet!
My first stop as soon as we land is gonna be Cafe Du Monde.
Gavin from Albuquerque, NM
Well, I guess I dropped the ball and forgot to submit for a 5/16 Inbox. So, my two years running of Wes answering my II on 5/16 is a broken streak. Sorry, Wes, I let you down. Life got busy and I lost track.
Best I can do is 5/19.
