I understand the frustrations. I do. But giving up isn't the answer, and these players and coaches aren't quitting. I can't promise much but I can promise you that. What the fans do is up to them, I guess.

Three games in and we're not seeing any real improvement. The run D was gashed repeatedly and our O had way too many dropped contested passes. I'm not ready to write the season off, but boy, we really need to see some improvement in the offense. We can't expect the D to throw a shutout every week. If we're playing like this against teams that aren't very good, what will we do against tougher teams?

Improvement likely will come only incrementally, but major strides are needed soon because the schedule only gets tougher. Beginning next week, the Packers play seven of the next 14 against teams that made the playoffs last year, and a few more against teams that missed the playoffs by one game.

I would argue this game film is the most important of the three to learn from. The way the Falcons attacked with their patient runners and worked most of their pass plays to the inside (either throwing there or cutting to the middle on almost all screens), they had to be exploiting a vulnerability they saw on film. Same with the field goal protection. Same with how they made the Packers' offense totally one-dimensional. It's all out there now and every unit can see what future opponents will see.

What's the possibility that Coach LaFleur is starting to lose the team? I'm not advocating replacing the coach, but I am suggesting that the hole dug to finish out last season, is getting deeper this season. And at some point, it might get too deep to climb out.

I'm not sensing the players don't believe in him, if that's what you're asking. Certainly Jordan Love made his feelings in that regard clear from the podium after the game. But LaFleur has to set the course to get the ship righted, whatever that entails. Contributions must come from everywhere in this process, but his leadership and that of the captains will be front and center here.

In this forum, there were many submissions this week of things we were doing well. Special teams and defense were at the top of the list. But now? A blocked FG, paltry return game, and delay of game on ST. No words for the D. So what's left? Less penalties? 10 days to dwell on this? Is this rock bottom? I'm not a fire everyone guy, and I know MLF could give two sugars, but he's gotta be on the hot seat. This team is aimless and lifeless.

There's nothing to feel good about right now, which was the gist of my Rapid Reaction column, and I'm too tired to hunt for positives. So I'm going to put on the history hat. The toughest stretches of LaFleur's tenure previously were the five-game losing streak in '22 (Rodgers' last year) and the 3-6 start in '23 (Love's first). Looking back, I recall only a couple of games that felt like this one, but during most of those struggles, they had chances to win and were just coming up short. Both of those seasons got turned around when things looked rather bleak. All this to get to your question about rock bottom. My answer? It better be.

Outrushed by 225 yards. The offense did nothing to hang its hat on, again. The defense showed they are the second half against Minn, and the big play breakdown against NYJ, not an upper-level unit. A blocked FG, a penalty when they weren't going to snap the ball. 15 quick pressures after 17 at Minn (two highest game totals in the NFL). A coaching staff that hasn't fixed a thing since Dec. 2025 and players who don't seem to be accountable for the same, continued mistakes. Can it actually change?

Of course it can. I'm not going to scream doomsday. The biggest concern of course is the offensive line. The quick pressures stat you mentioned is truly alarming, and the ground game numbers speak for themselves. Here's how I see it – while things don't break down up front on every play, there are execution problems elsewhere at times even when all's fine in the trenches, so the cumulative lapses here, there and everywhere have produced this inconsistent hodge-podge of a mess in a sport that requires steady, reliable execution to succeed. They can still hit an explosive play on occasion, but those aren't producing any real juice or grasp of momentum because they've got nothing else to hang their hat on, nothing to turn to for those gotta-have-it moments. Seeing a fourth-and-1 play-action rollout in the red zone just completely blanketed by the opposing defense showed a complete and total lack of respect for the run game, and it was emblematic of how hard it is to play offense one-handed.

Those games where we are just constantly getting gashed by the run are the toughest to watch. I am still wondering how the game turns out without the RTP penalty right before the big Bijan run and getting the Ball back right there. Those two plays were such a huge momentum swing and it never swung back in the Packers direction. Do you think this could have really been a decisive sequence or would Bijan broke out eventually anyway?

The way the defense crumbled after that tells me the Falcons were going to have their way at some point. Yes, the game would've played out differently, but I doubt the tally ultimately goes in the other column. I said what I said about the RTP call in the live blog, and my face can't get any bluer. But it was all too reminiscent of when things started going sideways in Minneapolis, and the team as a whole had no response. To lack any response at home is even more concerning, to be honest.

The terrible RTP call may have been the spark that turned it around for the Falcons, but even if that wasn't called I have a feeling the Packers were bound to eventually do something that turned the game over to Atlanta. Bijan tilted the field and the Packers didn't have anyone to tilt it back the other way.

Bijan and Drake looked like animals released from their cages last night. They must've felt handcuffed those first two weeks without effective QB play. Bijan might be the most patient running back I've ever seen. His style is somewhat unorthodox, but the way he throws off the traditional timing of plays works to his advantage.

Thank you for all you do Wes and Spoff! Last season I let the results affect me too much mentally. This season I am really just trying to enjoy watching the Packers, win or lose. Despite some fun moments so far though, it's been really tough to sit through these first three games. For a fan who just wants to root on his team, what advice can you give for finding some hope the team can get back to playing some football that is fun to watch?

I've got no choice but to watch and analyze every week (not that I'm complaining … it's still a blessing to have this job, even at times like these), so I may not be the best person to ask that. All I know is with 14 games left, there's plenty of time, and there are a lot of talented players on this roster.

Help is not on the way. A question is almost always posted after a game like this asking for silver linings. I'm taking my shot: Skyy Moore is a stud. Christian Watson and Matthew Golden came to play. Penalties were manageable this week. Evan Williams, Zaire Franklin and Xavier McKinney did their part. What else am I missing?

That adjustment by Golden on the early deep ball was one of the best catches I've ever seen. Truly. I know as a former outfielder, the hardest play to make when chasing a long fly is to turn your back on the ball and pick it up again, but that's how you must do it in order not to break stride. Golden made it look easy.
