Lambeau Field gets 'Back To Football' with fan experiences at home opener against Redskins

Packers will welcome back alumni from 1965, 1966 and 1967 championship teams

Packers fans attending this Sunday's home opener against the Washington Redskins will relive history as the team welcomes back 30 alumni from the 1965, 1966 and 1967 championship teams, a part of the Packers' traditional alumni weekend celebration.The alumni will make up the game's ambassador line, and will be introduced from the field during halftime.

Two alumni are scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend at various locations. Frank Winters and Jim Flanigan Jr. will be taking part in fan activities at the Packers Pro Shop, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club leading up to kickoff.

The Packers' annual Coats for Kids collection will also take place in the Lambeau Field parking lot beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday. Fans attending the game will have the opportunity to donate new and gently used coats for distribution to needy children through the Salvation Army. Cash donations will be accepted as well.

Prior to kickoff, the Shopko Fanoramic camera will take a 360-degree, high-definition photo of fans in the stadium. This exciting fan feature, which has been popular at previous games, allows fans to identify themselves using an optic-zoom and tagging feature.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 11:30 a.m., because shortly after that time the ultra-high-definition image will be taken from the 50-yard line. This photo will capture Lambeau Field in its entirety, and the image takes between 5-7 minutes to shoot. The resolution of the photo will be so high that fans will be able to visit Packers.com/shopkofanoramic, zoom in to find themselves or friends, "tag" themselves with a Shopko logo, and share via email, Facebook and Twitter.

Members of the brass and percussion sections of theGreen Bay Symphony Orchestrawill be performing the national anthem in celebration of their 100th anniversary. The Aeroshell Aerobatic Team will perform a flyover following the anthem.

In addition, the Packers and WPS Health Insurance will be recognizing U.S. Navy Lieutenant Katrina Destree through Operation Fan Mail on-field prior to the national anthem.

During the game, fans will be able to view Sargento's Lambeau Field replica made out of real cheese. The real cheese sculpture will be located in the lobby of the 5th floor Terrace Suites in the New South End. Fans holding a ticket in the Terrace Suites can view the sculpture.

New this season, Lambeau Field will have a Packers Extra Points Fast Pass Gate. Fans who have a Packers Extra Points credit card can get into the stadium faster by showing the card at the Fast Pass Gate. The Fast Pass Gate will be located to the right of the Miller Lite Gate on Lombardi Avenue by the main ticket office. The Packers will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by honoring Michael Best & Friedrich LLP partner José Olivieri, as the recipient of the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award. The award recognizes the contributions of Hispanic leaders in each NFL market. Olivieri received tickets for the game and will be recognized during the game on the video boards. Each award recipient will also select an organization of their choice that serves the local Hispanic community to receive a $2,000 donation. Olivieri has selected the United Community Center in Milwaukee to receive his donation.* *

Also taking place at the Sunday afternoon home opener is the premier gameday tailgate party in the Tundra Tailgate Zone (TTZ) in the Lambeau Field parking lot. For a full list of gameday information, please visit packers.com/gameday/gameday-information.html.

Fans will receive sunglasses provided by Sentry Foods as the game giveaway.

The Lambeau Field Atrium (ticketed guests only), guest relations desk, parking lot and Tundra Tailgate Zone will open at 8 a.m. Gates will open at 10 a.m.
