The Green Bay Packers' preseason schedule is highlighted by a nationally televised contest at Lambeau Field against the Oakland Raiders on Friday, Aug. 22. The preliminary schedule was communicated by the National Football League on Wednesday.

Week 1, Aug. 7-10

Week 2, Aug. 14-18
at St. Louis

Week 3, Aug. 22
vs. Oakland, 7 p.m. CT (CBS)

Week 4, Aug. 28

Specific dates and times to be announced

For the third time in the last four years, the Packers will kick off their preseason slate away from Lambeau Field, this time against the Tennessee Titans at LP Field. It will be the first preseason meeting between the clubs since they met in the 2009 finale at Tennessee. The teams squared off in the preseason finale in eight consecutive seasons (2002-09).

In Week 2 of the preseason, Green Bay will travel to St. Louis to face the Rams, the second straight year that the teams have met at the Edward Jones Dome in the preseason. It will be just the second preseason meeting between the clubs since the Rams moved to St. Louis prior to the 1995 season and just the fifth preseason matchup all-time.

CBS will broadcast the third preseason contest against the Oakland Raiders to a national audience. This will mark the first preseason meeting between the teams since 2001 and the first at Lambeau Field since 1998. Including this preseason, the Packers will have appeared on national TV at least once in 21 of the last 22 years.

The preseason concludes with a home game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the fifth straight year the teams will have met in the preseason finale. The all-time preseason series between the clubs is tied at 7-7-1.

For the third straight year, the Packers will not play any of their preseason opponents during the regular season.

Except for the Oakland game and the date of the Kansas City contest, the exact dates and times for the Packers' preseason games are to be determined. Flagshipped by Milwaukee's WTMJ-TV and in conjunction with WGBA-TV in Green Bay, the preseason contests will be televised over a 14-station network throughout the state of Wisconsin, northeastern Minnesota, Upper Michigan, the Quad Cities, Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Waterloo in Iowa, Omaha in Nebraska and Honolulu in Hawaii.

In addition to WTMJ-TV and WGBA-TV, the games are televised over WKOW/ABC, Madison, Wis.; WAOW/ABC, Wausau/Rhinelander, Wis.; WXOW/ABC, La Crosse, Wis.; WQOW/ABC, Eau Claire, Wis.; WLUC/NBC, Escanaba/Marquette, Mich.; KQDS-TV/FOX, Duluth/Superior, Minn.; KLJB-TV/FOX and KGCW/CW, Davenport, Iowa (Quad Cities); KCWI-TV/CW, Des Moines, Iowa; KWWL-TV, Cedar Rapids/Waterloo, Iowa; KMTV-TV/CBS, Omaha, Neb.; and KFVE-TV, Honolulu, Hawaii.

The league is expected to release the regular-season schedule later this month.
