The Green Bay Packers are accepting nominations for the Community Quarterback Award, it was announced today.

Funded by the Green Bay Packers and NFL Charities, the Green Bay Packers Community Quarterback Award recognizes volunteers within the state of Wisconsin, age 13 and over, who demonstrate leadership, dedication and a commitment to bettering their communities through volunteering for a non-profit (501(c)(3) or 509) organization of their choice without compensation. The nomination process is fulfilled by charitable organizations that nominate their distinguished volunteers, and a selection committee then selects 10 recipients. Recipients of the award will receive a $2,000 grant in the name of the non-profit organization from the Green Bay Packers.

The 2005 Community Quarterback Award winners were Craig Huxford, Partners in Education, a program of the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Bay; Don Weber, Boys & Girls Brigade, Neenah; Greg Marnocha, Seymour Lions Club, Seymour; Rev. William Ribbens, Catholic Charities, Inc., Green Bay; Richard (Dick) Weber, Manitowoc County Habitat for Humanity, Manitowoc.

The deadline for nomination submission is Oct. 30, 2006. Nomination forms are available **here**.

Nomination forms can also be obtained by contacting Bobbi Jo Eisenreich of the Packers' community relations department, by phone (920/569-7323) or by e-mail (eisenreichb@packers.com).
