The Green Bay Packers have signed LB Victor Aiyewa to the active roster from the practice squad and placed RB Johnathan Franklin on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Aiyewa (uh-YAY-wuh), a 6-foot-1, 237-pound first-year player out of the University of Washington, was signed to Green Bay's practice squad on Oct. 15. He entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with Tampa Bay in July 2011 and spent time with the Buccaneers during training camp that season. Aiyewa will wear No. 54.

Franklin played in 11 games this season and rushed for 107 yards and a TD on 19 carries (5.6 avg.).
