SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES OFFER FANS ADDITIONAL WAYS TO CONNECT WITH TEAM

The Green Bay Packers have added a Facebook fan page and a Twitter account, two new ways for fans to follow the latest news on their team.

Each of the team's new social networking efforts will inform users of breaking news on the team, as well as highlight articles and features on the team's Web site, Packers.com.

"Packers fans follow the team in a number of ways and we've added these two popular options to enhance their online Packers experience," Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy said. "The fan experience today incorporates many different elements, so we want to continue to add features that enable fans to easily connect with the team."

On Facebook, the Packers' official page can be found at www.facebook.com/packers. To become a fan and receive regular updates from the site, users must be logged in and then need to click the "become a fan" button at the top of the Packers' page.

On Twitter, the Packers' official page can be found at www.twitter.com/packers. To follow the Packers and receive the team's tweets, users must be logged in and then need to click the "follow" button at the top of the Packers' page.

The team's Facebook and Twitter pages also can be accessed from the respective logos at the bottom of the Packers.com home page.

The new Facebook and Twitter features join the team's online offerings that include Packers.com, m.Packers.com, for mobile device users, and Packers Mobile Alerts, the feature that texts information and updates to users' phones and mobile devices.
