The Green Bay Packers have named Kirk Olivadotti inside linebackers coach, Justin Outten tight ends coach and Adam Stenavich offensive line coach. Head Coach Matt LaFleur made the announcements Thursday.
Olivadotti has spent 16 seasons as a coach in the NFL, all with the Washington Redskins. He is one of 11 members of the Redskins' assistant coach honor roll, which recognizes coaches with at least 10 seasons of service as an assistant in Washington. During his time with the Redskins, Washington ranked in the top 10 in the NFL in overall defense eight times. The past five seasons (2014-18), Olivadotti coached inside linebackers for Washington. From 2011-13, he served in the same position at the University of Georgia. Prior to his stint with the Bulldogs, Olivadotti spent 11 seasons with the Redskins as a defensive assistant (2010), linebackers coach (2007-09), defensive line assistant/special teams assistant (2006), defensive quality control/special teams assistant (2004-05) and defensive quality control/defensive back assistant (2000-03). After being a four-year letterwinner as a wide receiver at Purdue from 1993-96, he took his first coaching job, tutoring wide receivers and tight ends at Maine Maritime Academy in 1997. Olivadotti then spent two seasons (1998-99) as an assistant coach for Indiana State.
Outten (OW-ten) was the offensive assistant for the Atlanta Falcons the past two seasons (2017-18). He began with the Falcons as an offensive intern in 2016. Over the last three seasons, Atlanta has averaged 27.2 points per game (No. 4 in the NFL over that span) and 389.9 yards per game (No. 3 in the league over that span). Before joining the Falcons, Outten worked as the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator/offensive line coach at Westfield High School in Houston, Texas from 2008-15. Over that span, he helped coach 24 offensive linemen that received scholarships to play in college and also coached one high school All-American. From 2007-08, Outten was a graduate assistant at Syracuse University, the school he played on the offensive line for from 2003-06.
Stenavich comes to the Packers after serving as the assistant offensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers the last two seasons. He helped coach a line that cleared the way for RB Matt Breida to average 4.96 yards per carry in 2016-17, ranking No. 5 in the NFL over that span (min. 200 att.). The line also blocked for a passing attack that recorded 4,247 yards in 2018, the ninth most in franchise history. Prior to joining the 49ers, Stenavich spent six years in the college ranks. He first worked as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Michigan (2011), then a graduate assistant for the Wolverines (2012-13) and then coached the offensive lines at Northern Arizona University (2014) and San Jose State (2015-16). The Marshfield, Wis., native played left tackle at Michigan (2002-05) and was named first-team All-Big Ten in 2004-05. Following his collegiate career, Stenavich signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted rookie free agent. He was signed to the Packers' practice squad in 2006, played for the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europa in 2007, spent the 2008 training camp with the Dallas Cowboys and was on the Houston Texans' practice squad for two seasons (2009-10).
