The Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms on a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers (pending physical). The Packers will acquire RB Kaleb Johnson in exchange for a 2028 sixth-round pick.
Johnson (6-1, 224), a second-year player out of the University of Iowa, was originally selected by the Steelers in the third round (No. 83 overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. He played in 10 games as a rookie, recording 28 carries for 69 yards (2.5 avg.) and hauling in one pass for 9 yards. Johnson also returned eight kickoffs for 190 yards (23.8 avg.). In 2024, he earned first-team All-America honors from FWAA, Phil Steele's College Football, Sporting News and Walter Camp and first-team All-Big Ten recognition from the coaches and media after leading Iowa in rushing with 1,537 yards and 21 TDs on 240 carries (6.4 avg.).

The transactions were announced Sunday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
