Green Bay signs DL Jaden Crumedy, QB Kyle McCord to reserve/future contracts

The Green Bay Packers have signed DL Jaden Crumedy (CRUM-uh-dee) and QB Kyle McCord to reserve/future contracts, and released CB Trevon Diggs (TRAY-von). General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Tuesday.

Crumedy (6-4, 301), a third-year player out of Mississippi State University was originally selected by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round (No. 200 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent his first two seasons on Carolina's active roster and practice squad, appearing in eight games and recording 15 tackles (four solo), a half-sack and a QB hit. In college, Crumedy appeared in 53 career games with 47 starts for MSU (2018-23) and registered 119 tackles (39 solo), 16 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, five passes defensed, a forced fumble and a blocked field goal.

McCord (6-3, 218), a first-year player out of Syracuse University, was originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round (No. 181 overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft and spent his entire rookie season on Philadelphia's practice squad. He played collegiately at Ohio State (2021-23) and Syracuse (2024), appearing in 37 games with 26 starts and totaling 8,555 yards on 661-of-998 passing (66.2 pct.) with 61 TDs and a 154.4 passer rating. In his lone year with the Orange, McCord started all 13 games and set the Atlantic Coast Conference's all-time single-season passing-yardage record (4,779) while also setting school records for completions (391), passing yards and passing TDs (34).
