CD Of Official Packers Music On Sale Today In Packers Pro Shop; Features Kickoff Song 'G-Force'

The Green Bay Packers are going to be delivering big hits both on and off the field this season, thanks to the release of a CD with 11 new and original Packers-themed songs.

The CD is currently available for purchase at the Packers Pro Shop, either in person or online at www.packersproshop.com. It also will be available at other retail locations throughout the state of Wisconsin, including team sponsor Best Buy, beginning Sept. 22.

The songs are written in a multitude of styles and genres, with each track celebrating the team's storied history, its loyal fans and the one-of-a-kind Lambeau Field experience. The opening track, and lead single, "G-Force," is serving as the Packers' official opening kickoff song at Lambeau Field for the second consecutive season. Other songs include "One For The Tundra," "Packers Tailgate" and "Lambeau's Where The Party's At." The CD closes with "Bring On The Heroes."

"Fan response to the G-Force song has been tremendous," said Craig Benzel, Packers director of marketing and corporate sales. "We're excited to release the music and give our fans the opportunity to take a piece of the Lambeau experience home with them. There's something for everyone on this CD. It's a great way for us to extend the G-Force brand and give our fans yet another way to connect with the Packers."

The Packers partnered with local sonic branding agency Banshee Music to help craft and develop the music with a variety of national recording artists. "Working with the Packers has been a thrill, it's a tremendous brand with a history and heritage unlike any other," said Banshee's Gary Reynolds, Chairman and CEO of the New Berlin, Wis., based firm.
