This Week's Chat:

Who: DE Aaron Kampman

Date:Friday, Nov 10, 2006

Time: approx. 12:45 p.m. CT

A fifth-round draft pick from Iowa in 2002, Packers DE Aaron Kampman has become more than just a blue-collar player, establishing himself among the NFL's top defenders at his position.

Last year, on a defense that ranked first in the NFL against the pass, Kampman turned in a career-high 6 1/2 sacks to highlight the best season of his career. His 105 tackles ranked second in the NFL among defensive linemen (behind former St. Louis Rams and current Packers DT Ryan Pickett) and first among defensive ends.

The Packers in the offseason rewarded Kampman by signing him to a multi-year contract extension. And the move has paid off.

Through eight games in 2006, Kampman has a team and career-high 9 1/2 sacks -- most in the NFL. He leads Packers linemen with 48 tackles (34 solo) and is vying for a roster spot in the 2007 NFL Pro Bowl.

Most recently, after posting two sacks vs. Arizona (Oct. 29), Kampman was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, while SI.com's Peter King named Kampman his Defensive Player of the Week following his three sacks vs. New Orleans (Sept. 17).

Be sure to join Packers.com this Friday, Nov. 8 as Aaron stops by to field some of your questions in the Packers.com Live Chat.

If you plan to take part in the chat, which will begin at approximately 12:45 p.m. CT., please be sure to remember the following tips:

Be courteous and respectful. Packers.com will not post any profanity, and chat guests are unlikely to answer questions that are rude in nature. If you have 'tough' questions, think about how you want to word them so they will get answered.

Be thoughtful. Among the hundreds of questions submitted, the ones that stand out tend to get the best answers. Anticipate some of the common questions and try to ask something unique. Chats are often bogged down with the same questions being asked over and over again. Be different.

Send questions once. Sending the same question multiple times will not get your question noticed. Instead, your submissions will be flagged and ignored.

Finally, remember that this is your chance to chat with members of the Packers. Utilize the option to its fullest. We hope you have fun!
