Holiday Event to Take Place at Lambeau Field Dec. 6

**

The search for this year's Festival of Lights holiday tree continues through Monday, Nov. 10.

Anyone from Wisconsin or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan who has a 35-45 foot evergreen tree and wants to donate it to the event is asked to submit a proposal, in 100 words or less, on why his or her tree should be used for Festival of Lights and displayed at Lambeau Field through the holiday season.

The Packers will arrange for the tree to be harvested and transported to Lambeau Field. The owner of the selected tree will receive four tickets to the Packers-Lions game, Dec. 28.

The tree selected for last year's event was submitted by Cathie Puyleart, the office manager for Old St. Joseph Church on the St. Norbert College campus in De Pere, Wis. The tree was slated for removal to make way for the college's new Mulva Library, currently under construction.

The third annual Festival of Lights at Lambeau Field, hosted by the Packers and Festival Foods, is set for Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The family-themed event, free to the public, will begin at 5 p.m. in the Lambeau Field Atrium, and feature area high school choirs performing holiday music, cookie decorating, holiday movies and cartoons, holiday card making, and photo opportunities with Santa Claus.

At 6:30 p.m. the event will move out onto Harlan Plaza for the formal lighting of the holiday tree. Mills Fleet Farm is providing the lights for the tree.

In addition, the Packers Pro Shop and Festival Foods will be selling Packers ornaments with proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club. Ornaments are priced at $6, with $2.50 going to charity, and will be available the entire holiday season at the Packers Pro Shop and Festival Foods Stores.
