The Green Bay Packers offered fans the chance to have their photo featured in various locations around Lambeau Field for a 2023 regular-season home game, including on the marquee signs outside the stadium. After thousands of entries and more than 15,000 votes in the contest, Alex VanDeVen of Suamico, Wis., was chosen as the winner.
VanDeVen's photo of his daughter, Beckett, will be featured on the Lambeau Field marquee signs and in various locations around the stadium during a regular-season Packers game.
The contest, brought to fans by American Family Insurance, ran from March 15 through May 1, and invited fans to submit a photo for a chance to have it displayed around Lambeau Field.
A panel of Packers officials chose the top five photos, and those five were posted on packerseverywhere.com to be voted on by fans. VanDeVen's photo had the most votes in the contest and was named the grand prize winner.
The photo was taken at Packers Family Night last season and features three-year-old Beckett with a giddy smile on her face. Beckett has been a Packers fan since the day she was born, something her parents were proud to pass along to her as lifelong fans themselves. Beckett was ecstatic to attend the practice with her friends and family and her pure bliss bursts through in the picture.
In addition to having his photo displayed at Lambeau Field for a game, VanDeVen and his family will also receive tickets to the game.
Voters in the contest this year also were entered to win two tickets to a 2023 Packers game each time they voted. Roberta Brightman of Earlham, Iowa was this year's fan voting winner.
