Event to Benefit Wendy"s Wonderful Kids Program

The Green Bay Packers today announced that "Packers Family Night, Presented by Bellin Health," will take place Saturday evening, Aug. 7. The event will benefit the Wendy"s Wonderful Kids foster care adoption program, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

"Family Night," now in its 10th year, will feature an intra-squad scrimmage between the Packers" offense and defense. Evening activities get underway in the stadium at 5:30 p.m., followed by on-field football drills at 6:30 and the scrimmage at approximately 7:30.

"We"re very pleased to have a great partner, Bellin Health, join us in one of our unique training camp traditions, "Packers Family Night,"" said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "It"s exciting to welcome families into Lambeau Field for this special night of activities and to see our team gear up for the season."

For fans not attending the event, WLUK-TV FOX 11 again will originate a statewide telecast. In addition to Green Bay, the event will be televised on WITI-TV in Milwaukee, WMSN-TV in Madison, WFXS-TV in Wausau and WLAX-TV in La Crosse. Hosted by Drew Smith and other members of the Fox 11 sports and news staffs, the live broadcast will start at 6:30 p.m.

Included in the evening"s activities, per custom, will be the popular Chili"s "Jerseys Off Our Backs" promotion with approximately 20 jerseys " all of which will have been worn by Packers players in the just-completed scrimmage " to be given away in a random drawing, other entertainment, the Copps"Pick "N Save Family Night Picnic and the spectacular Copps"Pick "N Save Fireworks Show to conclude the night.

The Kemps Packers Experience returns this year. The evening will feature other activities for the younger fans, including sidewalk chalk and airbrush tattoos.

Tickets, priced at $10, will go on sale Friday, June 25, at 9 a.m., through Ticketmaster and may be purchased in person, over the phone or via the Internet. Tickets also can be purchased at the Packers" ticket office in person. A limit of eight tickets per purchase will be in place for an initial sales period to allow more fans to have the chance to make a transaction. All individuals, regardless of age, require a ticket for admittance.

Parking for the event will be $5, with net proceeds to be donated to the Wendy"s Wonderful Kids Program.

A group ticket program (minimum of 50 tickets) again is offered. Group ticket orders are restricted to approved groups and organizations, and are to be used for the sole purpose of accommodating a group or organizational outing. Resale is prohibited.

Space is limited for group orders and all requests must be received by June 21, 2010. If the total number of tickets requested by groups exceeds the number of seats available, a drawing will be held to determine which groups will be accommodated. Groups will be seated together in the same vicinity.

In case of inclement weather, no refunds will be issued unless all stadium activities " from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the fireworks show " are cancelled.

The entire training camp schedule is expected to be announced this week.
