Grant applications are being accepted for Milwaukee nonprofit organizations seeking assistance through the Packers Give Back COVID-19 Community Relief Fund in the Milwaukee area, with a total of $500,000 available.

To apply for support through the fund, Milwaukee area nonprofit groups helping those impacted by the pandemic are encouraged to visit packers.com/community and click on the gold "Milwaukee Area Nonprofit Organizations" button for more information and a grant application.

"We are facing an unprecedented challenge in our communities," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "We know our nonprofit support agencies are performing their usual excellent work, but they need additional resources as various needs and gaps in coverage have developed. The Packers are committed to supporting them now and into the future as we all work together to weather this difficult time."

The $500,000 is part of the $1.5 million COVID-19 Community Relief Fund established by Packers Give Back. The additional $1 million is being directed to Brown County organizations through the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation; a portion of those funds have already been distributed to 10 Brown County nonprofit groups to address food and hygiene needs, housing assistance, transportation, medication and other basic needs.

Brown County-area nonprofits interested in applying for funds also may visit packers.com/community and click on the gold "Brown County Nonprofit Organizations" button for a link to more information and an application on the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation's website.
