Packers Make Cover Of Sports Illustrated

The Green Bay Packers are the cover story in the latest edition of Sports Illustrated, due out on newsstands Wednesday.

The cover photo is of Brett Favre, accompanied with the headline 'True Grit,' and the subhead 'Why the Packers Keep on Winning.'

The article, by Michael Silver, details last weekend's win 20-14 over the San Francisco 49ers.

Fans worried about a cover jinx should take note that the Packers made the cover of Sports Illustrated five times during their Super Bowl run of 1996, including three consecutive weeks during the playoffs.
