The Green Bay Packers have named Wes Hodkiewicz staff writer for Packers.com, Gabrielle Dow, the team's vice president of marketing and fan engagement announced today.

An award-winning journalist, Hodkiewicz joins the Packers with significant sports writing experience, after spending more than nine years working for the Green Bay Press-Gazette, first in prep sports and later becoming a Packers beat writer and multimedia specialist.

Hodkiewicz also has spent time contributing Packers content and commentary on the radio at Milwaukee's 105.7 FM The Fan, and served as a correspondent for WITI-TV, WGBA-TV and the Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.

In his new role as staff writer, Hodkiewicz will generate daily content for the Packers' integrated digital efforts, including written, video and social media content.

"We're excited to welcome Wes to the Green Bay Packers," said Dow. "He has impressive experience reporting on the team and connecting with the community as a Packers beat writer, and we are excited to see the impact his talent and contributions will have on Packers.com."

A native of Green Bay, Hodkiewicz earned a B.S. degree in communication from UW-Green Bay in 2010, and he and his wife, Caitlin, live in Suamico.
