Packers Place DT Jolly On Injured Reserve

The Green Bay Packers have placed defensive tackle Johnny Jolly on injured reserve. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, made the announcement Tuesday.

Jolly totaled 31 tackles (14 solo), one sack and five pass deflections in his second season with the club.

Also Tuesday, the Packers signed defensive tackle Alfred Malone to the practice squad and released tight end James Adkisson from the practice squad.

A 6-foot-4, 308-pound player from Troy, Malone spent the 2005-06 seasons with the Houston Texans. He appeared in four games and totaled 13 tackles.
