Packers Release WR Sam

The Green Bay Packers have released WR Lorne Sam. The transaction was announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Sam was signed to the Packers practice squad on Dec. 3, 2008. He spent time with the Denver Broncos earlier in the '08 season.
