Packers sign CB Travis Manning, WR Ty Montgomery

The Green Bay Packers have signed CB Travis Manning and WRTy Montgomery. The signings were announced Thursday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Manning, 24, started 37 of 53 games played at Northwest Missouri State, including 26 of 27 over his final two seasons. He earned second-team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honors as a senior, recording 32 tackles, four tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, 10 pass breakups and one interception that he returned 28 yards for a touchdown. In 2013, Manning registered a career-best 57 tackles and helped the Bearcats win the Division II National Championship. The Belleville, Ill., native also ran track for two years at NWMSU (2010-11). Manning participated in rookie minicamps with the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs.
