Packers sign LB Christian Young to practice squad

Rookie LB originally signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent


The Green Bay Packers signed LB Christian Young to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst. 

Young (6-1, 221), a rookie, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Arizona by the Seattle Seahawks on May 12, 2023, but was released after training camp. He appeared in 48 games with 32 starts over a five-year career at Arizona, finishing with 182 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He will wear No. 46 for the Packers.
