Packers sign local center Kyle Steuck

Green Bay area native played at nearby West De Pere High School

The Green Bay Packers signed C Kyle Steuck and placed LS Jesse Schmitt on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Sunday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Steuck (6-foot-2, 310 pounds, pronounced STOOCK), an undrafted rookie out of Northern Michigan University, participated in the Packers' rookie minicamp this past May. He was a two-time captain in college and was selected to the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second team in 2015 after being named honorable mention in 2014. The Green Bay native played at West De Pere High School. He will wear No. 77 for the Packers.
