Packers sign LS Triner to practice squad

Rookie out of Assumption College originally signed with Jets

The Green Bay Packers signed LSZach Trinerto the practice squad. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Triner (try-nurr), a 6-foot-2, 247-pound first-year player out of Assumption College, originally signed with the New York Jets on Jan. 5, 2017 but was released on May 8, 2017. He served as the long snapper and played on the defensive line at Assumption, an NCAA Division II school in Worcester, Mass., from 2012-14. Triner started his college career as a lacrosse player at Siena College. He will wear No. 57 for the Packers.
