The Green Bay Packers have signed RB Pierre Strong Jr. to the active roster from the practice squad and signed LB Jack Dingle to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Thursday.
Strong (5-11, 207), a fourth-year player out of South Dakota State, has been on the Packers' practice squad since signing with Green Bay on Sept. 8, 2025. He was elevated from the practice squad to the Packers' active roster three times last season but was inactive for two of those games (Week 7 at Arizona, Week 15 at Denver) and dressed but did not play in the other (Week 12 vs. Minnesota). Strong was originally selected in the fourth round (No. 127 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. He has played in 46 games with one start for the Patriots (2022) and Cleveland Browns (2023-24), recording 99 carries for 499 yards (5.0 avg.) and two touchdowns. Strong has also caught 26 passes for 193 yards (7.4 avg.) and returned 24 kickoffs for 570 yards (23.8 avg.) with a long of 36 yards.
Dingle (6-4, 232), a rookie out of the University of Cincinnati, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals on May 8, 2026, but was released following training camp. In college, he played in 48 games with 33 starts over four seasons (2022-25), recording 164 tackles (72 solo), 9.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks, two passes defensed and two fumble recoveries. Dingle will wear No. 48 for the Packers.
