The Green Bay Packers signed WR Colby Pearson to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Pearson, a 6-foot, 194-pound rookie out of Brigham Young University, originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent on June 1, but was released on Aug. 28. He played in 41 career games over four seasons at BYU, recording 76 receptions for 864 yards (11.4 avg.) and eight touchdowns. As a senior in 2016, he set career highs in receptions (38), receiving yards (384) and receiving TDs (eight). Pearson will wear No. 13 for the Packers.
