The Green Bay Packers signed WR Sam Brown Jr. and waived/injured DL Jeremiah Martin. The moves were announced Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Brown (6-2, 200), an undrafted rookie free agent, played for West Virginia University (2020-21), the University of Houston (2022-23) and the University of Miami, Fla. (2024). He participated in the Miami Dolphins' rookie camp earlier this month. Overall, Brown appeared in 43 collegiate games with 28 starts, recording 149 receptions for 1,903 yards (12.8 avg.) and nine touchdowns. In 2023, he earned All-Big 12 honorable mention after registering career highs in games started (11), receptions (62) and receiving yards (815). Brown will wear No. 17 for the Packers.
