Seattle coming to Green Bay for playoff showdown

GREEN BAY – The Packers will host the Seahawks in an NFC Divisional playoff on Sunday, Jan. 12, at 5:40 p.m. CT.

Seattle advanced by winning at Philadelphia in the wild-card round Sunday by a score of 17-9. As the No. 5 seed in the NFC, the Seahawks will visit Lambeau Field to face the No. 2 seed Packers, who had a first-round bye.

The other NFC Divisional game will send No. 6 Minnesota to No. 1 San Francisco after the Vikings knocked off the No. 3 Saints in overtime. The 49ers will host the Vikings at 3:35 p.m. CT Saturday.

The Packers and Seahawks will meet in the postseason for the fourth time. The most recent meeting was the 2014 NFC title game in Seattle, won by the Seahawks in overtime after a comeback that broke Packers' fans hearts.

Green Bay won the 2003 wild-card game and the 2007 divisional contest, both at Lambeau Field. The first playoff matchup also went to overtime.

The most recent regular-season meeting between the teams came last year, won by the Seahawks in Seattle, 27-24.
