The Green Bay Packers game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Sept. 15, is the annual alumni game and will feature halftime introductions of 30 players from the Packers' 1965, 1966 and 1967 championship teams.
Members of the championship teams scheduled to be in attendance include Bill Anderson, Donny Anderson, Ken Bowman, Zeke Bratkowski, Tom Brown, Dick Capp, Bill Curry, Carroll Dale, Willie Davis, Boyd Dowler, Jim Flanigan, Marv Fleming, Jim Grabowski, Doug Hart, Dave Hathcock, Don Horn, Paul Hornung, Jerry Kramer, Bob Long, William Mack, Chuck Mercein, Dave Robinson, Bob Skoronski, Bart Starr, Fred Thurston, Phil Vandersea, James Weatherwax, Ben Wilson and Steve Wright.
The alumni will take the field and serve in Sunday's Ambassador Line during pregame festivities, and then be introduced from the field during halftime. Other Packers alumni will be in town as well, and be on the sidelines during the game.
Also, two alumni, Jim Flanigan Jr. and Frank Winters, are scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend at various locations, per home game custom.
Flanigan is one of only two second-generation players in team history, following in the footsteps of his father, Jim, who played linebacker for Green Bay from 1967 to 1970. Flanigan joined the Packers during the 2001 offseason when he signed with the team as a free agent. Prior to joining the Packers, Flanigan spent seven seasons with the Chicago Bears. After the Packers, he spent one season with the 49ers and one season with the Eagles. He appeared in all 16 games during his lone season with the Packers, making eight starts and racking up 46 tackles, 4.5 sacks and three passes defensed. He also saw action in both playoff games, contributing two stops.
Winters, a Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion, anchored the Packers offensive line for 11 seasons (1992-2002). He was a steadfast center who played in 156 games, starting 141 during his career. He blocked for some of the most productive offensive units in team history, including the 1996 championship team that amassed 456 points, the second-highest total in Packers history. He was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 2008.
On Saturday, Sept. 14, both Flanigan and Winters will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Packers Pro Shop from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Also on gameday, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Winters will be visiting with fans and signing autographs in the Tundra Tailgate Zone. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.
During that same time, Flanigan will be in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'
