Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has 52 yards rushing and two touchdowns as Carolina leads the Packers 21-10 at halftime at Lambeau Field.

After the Packers went three-and-out on their first two possessions, the Panthers took over at the Green Bay 42. Williams had a 27-yard run down to the Packers 3, and then took it in two plays later for the 1-yard score to give Carolina a 7-0 lead.

Green Bay's defense forced a three-and-out from Carolina on their next possession, which included a sack by defensive end Aaron Kampman on third down. The Packers started out at the Carolina 35, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers found wide receiver Greg Jennings on the left sideline for a 17-yard pickup to put Green Bay in Panthers territory for the first time on the afternoon.

Rodgers found wide receiver James Jones for a 9-yard gain on third down to keep the drive alive, but another 9-yard pass to tight end Donald Lee fell two yards short of the first down, and Green Bay was forced to settle for a 32-yard field goal from Mason Crosby to narrow Carolina's lead to 7-3.

The Panthers answered with a score on the ensuing possession, once again set up by a long run. Running back Jonathan Stewart rushed for 43 yards down to the Green Bay 2, had the ball stripped by cornerback Charles Woodson, but guard Travelle Wharton recovered the fumble. Quarterback Jake Delhomme rolled out to his left and scored on a 1-yard run three plays later for the touchdown and a 14-3 lead.

The Packers scored their first touchdown of the game to narrow Carolina's lead to 14-10 with just over three minutes remaining in the first half on a 6-yard pass from Rodgers to wide receiver Donald Driver. Rodgers found Driver and wide receiver Jordy Nelson for first downs earlier in the possession, and running back Brandon Jackson had a 24-yard run down to the Carolina 4 on his first carry of the game to set up the score.

The Packers looked to build on the momentum when they took over at their own 36 after forcing a three-and-out by Carolina, but center Scott Wells' shotgun snap on first down sailed over Rodgers' head, and Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson recovered at the Packers 17.

Delhomme found tight end Jeff King for a 9-yard gain, and Williams scored two plays later on a 1-yard run to give Carolina the 21-10 halftime lead.

Rodgers has completed 12-of-20 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown, and running back Ryan Grant picked up 39 yards on 12 carries.

Woodson started at strong safety with safeties Atari Bigby and Aaron Rouse both nursing injuries, and Tramon Williams started at left cornerback. Woodson had a fumble recovery and a forced fumble in the first half.
