Packers, UScellular team up to outfit Wisconsin school with latest technology

Leap for Learning program invites administrators and parents to nominate Wisconsin schools for technology makeover

The Green Bay Packers and UScellular are teaming up for the Leap for Learning program to help identify and award a Wisconsin K-12 school with a $20,000 technology makeover to improve STEM education.

Technology is a vital part of the educational experience for students, providing them with easy-to-access information, accelerated learning and fun opportunities to practice what they learn. But many schools delay updating their classroom technology because of budget constraints, management challenges and time constraints.

Beginning Sept. 11, educators, administrators and parents are invited to nominate a Wisconsin-based K-12 school online at Nominations will require a brief summary describing why the school deserves a technology makeover and how it would make a difference to the students. The nominations are open through Oct. 23, when a panel of judges will review all nominations and select one deserving school to receive the award.

"We are proud to once again join UScellular for the Leap for Learning program to help a Wisconsin K-12 school receive a much-needed technology makeover," said Packers Vice President of Sales and Business Development Craig Benzel. "It's important to the Packers to support youth and education throughout Wisconsin and ensure students have access to the resources they need to learn and grow."
