The Green Bay Packers announced today they will team up with Verizon – the team's official 5G mobile partner – to erase $100,000 of debt for Wisconsin veterans with every Packers win throughout the 2025 season.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with ForgiveCo, will help ease the burden of medical and financial debt that disproportionately impacts veterans returning to civilian life and seeking care.
Unlike traditional assistance programs, no applications are required. Veterans will be identified through ForgiveCo's random acts of kindness model and will be notified following each Packers win.
"Our veterans served our country with honor, and now it's our turn to serve them," said Andy Brady, President, Verizon Great Lakes. "Through this partnership with the Packers, we're turning every win into tangible relief for Wisconsin veterans who shouldn't have to choose between their health and their financial stability. This isn't just about erasing debt – it's about erasing barriers that prevent our heroes from thriving in the communities they protected."

This initiative is part of Verizon's $22 million veteran debt relief program, running through 2026, which aims to abolish debt for military veterans. To date, the program has erased $8.79 million in debt for more than 6,000 veterans across the Great Lakes region, providing an average of over $800 in relief per veteran.
This latest collaboration between the Packers and Verizon builds on the multi-year partnership agreement between the two organizations that was announced in April, aimed at further enhancing the fan experience at Lambeau Field. Verizon sponsors the fan gathering space on Lambeau Field's upper concourse, the Verizon Loft, and Verizon's service supports daily operations at Lambeau Field and connectivity for fans on gameday.
