Randall Cobb is HOF's Featured Player of the Week

Attraction returns for fifth season; features exhibit, drawing for autographed ball

The Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame's Featured Player of the Week program returns for its fifth season in 2012 and again features an exhibit with memorabilia from each week's game, including a game ball autographed by the selected player.

The Hall of Fame Featured Player of the Week for Week 1 is Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb. The second-year wide receiver and return specialist electrified fans with a fourth-quarter, 75-yard punt return for a touchdown that brought the Packers to within eight points of the San Francisco 49ers at 23-15. It was his third career return TD, tying him with six other players in second place for the most career kick returns for a score in franchise history. Travis Williams is the leader with six.

Cobb also recorded career highs in receptions (nine) and receiving yards (77).

Each week, the game football will be placed on display to be viewed by visitors to the Hall and, at the end of the week, will be awarded randomly to a Hall of Fame visitor who signed up for the drawing.

Also in the exhibit will be the featured player's jersey, and other potential items such as a face mask, shoes, gloves and other equipment.

The exhibit opened this week and will continue through the season. Hall of Fame admission is required to see the exhibit, and visitors are able to fill out a drawing form for a chance to win the ball. One drawing ticket will be distributed per each paid admission. Drawing winners will be selected at close of business Saturday and be notified on or before the following Monday.

The featured player will be selected after each game and will be indicated in game coverage on the team's Web site, also will feature a photo of the display at the beginning of each week.
