GREEN BAY – The Packers doubled down at running back with the second of their two fifth-round picks on Saturday when they drafted UTEP's Aaron Jones with the 182nd overall pick.

A native of El Paso, the 5-foot-10, 215-pound running back finished as UTEP's all-time leading rusher with 4,114 yards, which ranked seventh in the Conference USA annals.

Jones set a single-season program record by amassing 1,773 yards rushing on 229 carries (7.7 avg.) and 17 rushing touchdowns (third most in program history) during his redshirt junior season in 2016.

Jones, lightly recruited out of nearby Burges High School, chose to attend UTEP with his twin brother, Alvin, a three-year starting linebacker for the Miners.

It's the first time the Packers have drafted two running backs in the same draft since taking Alabama's Eddie Lacy and UCLA's Johnathan Franklin in 2013.
