With today's grand opening of Titletown's park, community members and visitors were introduced to the variety of activities available each day at Titletown. One featured element of the park includes the new Titletown athletic field, which features synthetic turf with Nike Grind infill.

Over the past 20 years, the Nike Grind program has been collecting worn out shoes bound for the landfill and along with pre-consumer waste, turned this into sport courts and other products.

Synthetic turf with Nike Grind infill is a cutting-edge solution to athletic needs, containing premium performance characteristics not possible with natural grass. The synthetic surface is durable, and is the ultimate in performance playing surfaces.

With the Nike Grind infill, the sports field, sized as a regulation football field, will be utilized in a variety of ways through much of the year. The field will be used by visitors to the park and may be programmed in the future for recreational sports or fitness events.

The athletic field is just one component of the multi-acre park's year-round, diverse programming that will feature fitness-related activities, cultural opportunities, versatile space for a variety of uses, and team-inspired public art, in addition to festive gameday action.

The space includes a playground with dynamic equipment and a Play 60 theme, a plaza featuring various programming, an activity area that features games such as shuffleboard, ping pong and bean bag toss, and a tubing hill and skating trail and rink.

Building upon the success of Lambeau Field's major redevelopment in 2003 and recent expansion and renovations, Titletown maximizes its great location just west of the iconic stadium to attract additional visitors to the area, spur further regional economic growth, offer new amenities to residents and complement the greater Green Bay area's draw as an excellent location to live, work and play. Phase one of Titletown includes the four-diamond hotel Lodge Kohler, Hinterland Restaurant and a Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine or Orthopedics. Details about the second phase of the development will be announced in the coming months.
