Casey Hayward, CB - #29 - Vanderbilt

Hayward battled a nagging hamstring injury that cost him the bulk of the 2013 season.

Hayward's six INTs in 2012 led all NFL rookies, ranked tied for fifth in the league among all players, and were the most by a Packers rookie since CB Mike McKenzie had six in 1999.

He became the first Green Bay CB ever to be named to the Pro Football Weekly/PFWA All-Rookie team (est. 1974) and was chosen as the league's Defensive Rookie of the Year by ProFootballFocus.com.

Hayward earned NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month honors for October (2012)Â after collecting 12 tackles (nine solo), four INTs and eight passes defensed over a four-game stretch that saw the Packers post a 3-1 record.

Hayward was born in Perry, Ga., and attended Vanderbilt University. He became the highest-drafted defensive back out of Vanderbilt since CB Fred Vinson in 1999. Hayward posted 15 career interceptions at Vanderbilt, tying him for the most in school history with Leonard Coleman (1980-83).

Hayward made a surprise visit to Martin Luther King Elementary School around Christmas to deliver gifts to a first-grade class that included his bike rider from training camp.

Hayward names Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers as his favorite athletes.

Hayward enjoys playing video games and watching A&E, listing The First 48, Criminal Minds, Revenge and Scandal as his favorite shows. He lists The Dark Knight as his favorite movie and Young Jeezy, Future, Rich Homie Quan and T.I. as his favorite musical acts.
