Happy Birthday to Micah Hyde!

During the 2014 regular season, Hyde appeared in 16 games with 12 starts and recorded 59 tackles and two interceptions. During the regular-season finale vs. the Detriot Lions on Dec. 28, Hyde contributed to the Packers victory with a 55-yard return for a TD in the first quarter. Hyde tied the franchise career record for the most punt return TDs with three, matching the mark set by WR Desmond Howard and CB Will Blackmon.

One of the top contributors from the 2013 rookie class, Hyde played in all 16 games as a reserve cornerback and also served as the team's primary kick and punt returner for the majority of the season.

Hyde Averaged 15.8 yards on 14 punt returns in 2014, No. 1 in the NFL among players with 14-plus returns and No. 3 in franchise history (min. 14 returns) for a single season, trailing only Billy Grimes (19.1 in 1950) and Willie Wood (16.1 in 1961).

Hyde's older brother, Marcus, played safety at Michigan State (2007-10) and his step-uncle, Damon Moore, played safety at Ohio State (1995-98) before spending three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (1999-01) and another with the Chicago Bears (2002).

Hyde was born in Toledo, Ohio, and attended the University of Iowa.

Hyde enjoyed a four-year playing career at the University of Iowa, where he started 38 consecutive games over his final three seasons and was a teammate of current Packers T Bryan Bulaga and DT Mike Daniels.

Hyde organized the formation of the IMagINe Foundation in Iowa City, an organization that collects sporting goods from area schools and donates them to charities throughout the state of Iowa. He originally spawned the idea as part of a class project at Iowa.

Hyde enjoys playing golf, watching movies and listening to music in his free time. He names Dwyane Wade as his favorite athlete, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as his favorite TV show and The Shawshank Redemption as his favorite movie.
